Liam Kinsella

Covering London and East Anglia. Hi , I have been in the heating and ventilation maintenance industry (hvac) cleaning commercial flues and chimneys for over 20 years, I became a recognized training assessor in the commercial duct/flue cleaning industry by CIBSE in 2009. My passion is chimney sweeping and working within the industry. I became a training instructor for the ICS in 2012 then joined the Guild of Master Sweeps in 2017 and now an assessor for Sweep safe of which I am very proud to be part of.

Daniel Hodgson

My name is Daniel Hodgson. I am a third generation Chimneysweep with over 25 years experience. I am a director of Sweep Safe, assessor and I write much of the technical content used today. Previously I served as the Chairman if the guild of master chimney sweeps, prior to that I was the education director of the organisation responsible for writing technical manuals and training. I have studied chimney sweeping in various countries around the world and In the UK I have undertaken all of the Hetas courses from the old solid fuel awareness course many moons ago to the H005 biomass training more recently. Previously corgi and gas safe registered for nearly 15 years and I am still registered as an installer with HETAS today. Looking forward I am Working on the level five DET teaching qualification and the TAQA qualification.

Tony Preston

I started my own building maintenance company at the age of 19 and have been in business ever since. I have been a gas engineer for over 20 years and started first started sweeping chimneys on gas appliances around 15 years ago. I then by default became a chimney sweep. My business covers a large geographical area Liverpool Chester and Wirral. We operate out of the Flue Check Stove Shop on the Wirral. My qualifications include, I have City and Guilds Advanced Craft in brickwork, Higher National Certificate in Business, Higher National Certificate in Building, City and Guilds PTTLS, Gas Safe registration, Hetas registration Chimney Sweep and Installer.

After carrying out over several years of Chimney Sweeping and Installing i decided i wanted to do more of a serious role within the Chimney Sweeping and Solid Fuel Industry. I have undertaken all courses for chimney sweeping through a Registered Guild and attained Master Chimney Sweep Status. I also hold the HETAS H003 Approved Sweep status plus im a H006 Registered Installer. I've been doing Chimney Sweeping and Installing now over 18 years and established my own business in 2011. I'm here to help and support members achieve their goals within the trade and Im happy to answer any questions or queries you may have.

I have been on the Nacs sweeping course and also have the Hetas h003/h006 qualifications. Hi I am Ian Paterson of K & I Paterson - Covering Aberdeen and Northeast Scotland. I am a chimney sweep and fireplace/stove installer with 25 years experience, following in my dad’s footsteps and now my son, Ian James, has joined the family firm and is working with me in the industry. I have completed the Hetas H003 and H006 courses and am a Hetas registered installed and chimney sweep. I am also a Furanflex trained installer.

I am passionate about training and furthering my knowledge and passing skills on to members to improve our standards.
